The International Society for Web Engineering e.V.
The International Society for Web Engineering promotes science and research in the
entire field of Web Engineering. Web Engineering covers the realization of solutions
within the World Wide Web, its applications and its advancement, in particular its
approaches, methods, models, principles and tools, which are based on the information
and communication technologies of the internet.
ISWE was initially formed during the Fifth International Conference on Web Engineering (ICWE)
in Sydney, Australia, in July 2005. The society was formally founded in Karlsruhe,
Germany on 16 Dec 2005. It was entered into the Register of Associations Karlsruhe
3248 as a non-profit organization under German law on 9 Nov 2006.
